Is your Child Eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Scheme?
Is your child:
- 2 to 17 years old? 
- Eligible for Medicare? 
- Getting a payment from Centrelink at least once a year or have a parent getting a payment from Centrelink at least once a year? 
Then you could be eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Scheme.
The Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS) can cover up to $1,013 over two calendar years for basic dental services.
Basic dental services include:
- Check-ups 
- X-rays 
- Cleaning 
- Fissure sealing 
- Fillings 
- Root canals 
- Extractions 
Services that are not covered include:
- Orthodontic dental work 
- Cosmetic dental work 
- Any dental services in a hospital
